Party Food Recipes Enjoyed by our Families
(which we got from family and friends)
Betty Elkins' Cheeseball
2 of 3 ounce packages of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon of minced onion
1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
finely chopped pecans
Mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, onion and worcestershire sauce thoroughly and roll into a ball.
Roll this ball in finely chopped pecans.
Chill overnight.
Serve with crackers.
Betty Elkins' Dill Dip
2/3 cup sour cream
2/3 cup Miracle Whip
1 teaspoon dill weed
2 Tablespoons dry parsley flakes
2 Tablespoons minced onions
Mix thoroughly.
Allow to season for a while.
Use with fresh vegetables or chips.
Betty Elkins' Sausage Balls
1 pound rolled sausage
1 pound shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 cups Bisquick
Mix thoroughly and roll into balls the size of walnuts
Bake in 375 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes, turning once.
Dip in mustard, catsup, etc.
Betty Elkins' Cracker Spread
Sauteed onions
Fresh mushrooms, cut up
Dash of Worcestershire Sauce
Softened cream cheese
Dash of garlic salt or other seasoning
Mix well. Serve with crackers.
TANGY BEEF DIP
2 of 8 ounce packages of softened cream cheese
1/2 cup of cocktail vegetable juice
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
1 package (3 ounces) dried beef, chopped
1 Tablespoon onion, chopped
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
Thoroughly mix ingredients
Allow time for flavors to blend
Serve with crackers
